PHILAEDLPHIA (CBS) – One man is dead while another was taken to the hospital after a car crash involving two vehicles and a home, police said.
The Philadelphia Fire Department was dispatched to a crash involving two vehicles around 7:31 p.m
Medics responded to the scene at Kingsessing Ave and 47th Street.
According to police, a man was driving at a high rate of speed and lost control of his car. After losing control, he crashed into a parked car and then into a house.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance crews just before 8 p.m
The passenger was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and listed in stable condition, police said.
According to the Philadelphia License and Inspection, there was minor structural damage to the home.
The Crash Investigation Department is conducting an investigation.
