March 18 – One person was shot and injured Saturday by law enforcement officers in St. Regis after the pursuit of a robbery suspect who fled Idaho, according to a press release from the Montana Highway Patrol.
No law enforcement officers were injured in the incident, but one injured person was transported to a hospital in Missoula. All suspects were accounted for, the release said.
Prior to the incident, law enforcement officers in Idaho were pursuing the alleged robbery suspects. Officials from the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, the Sanders County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol responded to the St. Regis scene.
The Montana Department of Justice is investigating the incident.
