13-year-old boy stabbed by classmate at school in Philadelphia, police say

A 14-year-old boy is in custody after Philadelphia police say he stabbed another Community Council Learning Academy student on Wednesday.

Around 9:15 a.m., police responded to a call of a person with a weapon at the school at 4224 N. Front St. in the Feltonville neighborhood.

Police say the 14-year-old boy stabbed a 13-year-old boy with an unknown object. The boy had superficial stab wounds to his left arm and did not require further treatment.

The weapon has been recovered, but police will not say what it was.

The school was placed on lockdown while police investigated. It has since been defunct.
