LANSINGS – An 18-year-old man was killed in a shooting in north Lansing Thursday evening.

Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Sadie Court, east of the intersection of North Grand River Avenue and North Martin Luther King Jr., around 11:45 p.m. Boulevard, due to reports of a possible shooting, Lansing police said in a news release. .

They found the 18-year-old man at the scene with a gunshot wound and firefighters provided medical aid before taking him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Police said no arrests have been made and they do not believe the incident was a random act.

They continue to investigate.
