28th Street is closed after a water main break in the Grays Ferry neighborhood of South Philadelphia

Water took over a street in Grays Ferry Friday evening after a main broke. Our Chopper was older than 28th and Dickenson. The Philadelphia Water Department said the 16-inch main broke around 7:30 p.m., causing water to flow. Crews spent hours trying to disable it. 28th Street is closed while repairs are made. We’re still working to find out how many people will be affected by the pause.
