31-year-old man arrested for setting fires in Burbank

Police have arrested a man suspected of setting dozens of fires in Burbank.

Burbank Police Department officers arrested 31-year-old Tigran Gazdhyan early this morning after he allegedly set fire to a piece of cardboard behind a local business in the 340 block of North Pass Avenue at around 1:40 a.m. authorities searched for the alleged arsonist and found a Gazdhyan in a nearby Vons.

Gazdyan is accused of being a serial arsonist, who set fire to a dozen dumpsters, bushes and trash in southwestern Burbank. Investigators are also investigating the possibility that he may be responsible for other fires in Lake Toluca.

He is booked on multiple counts of arson and a probation violation. He is being held without bail and is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
