A 38-year-old man was killed Tuesday night in a motorcycle crash in Wise County, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
DPS identified the deceased motorcyclist as Clinton Josiah Stephens of Decatur.
The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on FM 1204, near FM 51, DPS said in a news release.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accident involved a 2005 American Ironhorse motorcycle. Stephens was traveling southbound when he missed a curve and lost control, causing the motorcycle to leave the road.
Emergency services transported him to Medical City Decatur, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
