45-year-old fatally stabbed near downtown Fort Worth after argument, police say

A 45-year-old man was fatally stabbed Friday morning near downtown Fort Worth following an argument, police said.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Harding Street around 1:40 a.m. They found a man in an apartment with a stab wound to the lower body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators determined that the victim and suspect were involved in a physical and verbal altercation outside the residence, police said. The suspect left briefly, but then returned and stabbed the victim at least once.

A suspect has been identified, but no arrests have been announced. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the victim as David Dewayne Christopher.
