75-year-old woman sentenced after pleading guilty to robbing a credit union

A 75-year-old woman has been sentenced after pleading guilty to robbing a credit union in Butler County.

A Butler County Common Pleas judge on Tuesday sentenced 75-year-old Ann Mayers to at least four years in prison, Cincinnati’s WKRC TV reported.

As previously reported by News center 7she pleaded guilty in September to one crime: aggravated robbery. Mayers was arrested for robbing AurGroup Credit Union at gunpoint in Fairfield Township.

Employees said she demanded money while showing a gun.

Officers also found Mayers in her Hamilton home and a gun in her car.

She apologized in court Tuesday to the credit union and her family, WLWT TV reported.
