An Estill County Schools employee is under investigation by police after the district received an anonymous tip.
“We immediately forwarded that tip to law enforcement, and the employee will not have any interaction with students while their investigation is ongoing,” district officials said in a Facebook post.
“The district is cooperating with the investigation and we will take appropriate action against the employee once that process is complete. As always, our first priority is the safety and well-being of our students,” the post said.
School district and law enforcement officials did not immediately respond Monday to questions from the Herald-Leader seeking further elaboration or specific details.
