The body of a 69-year-old Hesperia woman who went missing in the early morning hours Saturday was recovered from the California Aqueduct Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
Supranee Poolswasdi disappeared from her home in the 13800 block of Mayapple Street around 2:30 a.m., according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. The district is located just west of the aqueduct.
She left her home without her cell phone and wallet and was not seen or heard from again, sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.
After reaching out to the public for help finding Poolswasdi, her body was discovered in the California Aqueduct after a sheriff’s K-9 tracked the missing woman to a trail leading to the nearby aqueduct, after which divers were dispatched to to investigate, officials said. .
According to a sheriff’s statement, the remains were pulled from the water around 1 p.m.
“Investigators found no suspicious indicators or signs of foul play,” the statement said.
An autopsy will be conducted by coroner’s investigators to determine the cause of death.
Saturday’s death was the second reported this week at the aqueduct in Hesperia.
