Police are investigating car burglaries at two Atlanta fire stations

Atlanta police are investigating after car burglaries at two Atlanta fire stations that occurred Wednesday morning.

Within an hour of each other, Fire Station 1 at 71 Elliot St SW and Fire Station 36 at 2611 Fairburn Rd SW had reported burglaries.

Police said the burglary at Fire Station 1 happened around 6:30 a.m. and the one at Fire Station 36 happened around 7:30 a.m.

TRENDING STORIES:

Officers said when they arrived on scene of the first burglary, they were told the break-in had occurred through the back window of the car.

At Fire Station 36, police said multiple vehicles were broken into.

Police could not provide details about what, if anything, was taken.

Both burglaries are still under investigation, according to APD.
