Man arrested in connection with series of burglaries at NH supermarket, police say

Police arrested a suspect accused of stealing from the same supermarket several times in November.

Steven Burleigh, 27, of Manchester, is charged with burglary and possession of a controlled drug. He also had a probation violation warrant.

Manchester Police say three nighttime burglaries have taken place at the Parkside Practical Store on Hooksett Road since November 7.

The suspect, later identified as Burleigh, allegedly used a rock to break through a window to gain access to the store. Once inside, surveillance video shows him stealing scratch cards, cigarettes and cash.

During the next two burglaries, Burleigh was seen on video prying away the plywood covering the damaged window. Authorities say he would then steal more cash, scratch-off tickets and cigarettes.

Burleigh was arrested on Tuesday at the Econolodge in Manchester.

Police say they found cocaine on him when he was arrested.

Investigators say he is also involved in two other burglaries in nearby cities.
