CHICAGO (CBS) — A man was killed when he was shot at least twelve times in a drive-by shooting in Bronzeville on Friday afternoon.
Police said the 24-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 200 block of East 43rd Street shortly before 3 p.m. when someone in a white sedan fired several shots.
The shooter fled the scene north onto Indiana Avenue.
The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition with twelve gunshot wounds to his head and body. He was later pronounced dead.
No one was arrested Friday evening. Area 1 detectives investigated.
