A stabbing on the campus of a South LA high school sends a student to the hospital

A stabbing on a campus at a South Los Angeles prep high school sent a student to the hospital on Tuesday.

At around 1 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department reported a stabbing to Los Angeles School Police at the Joseph Pomeroy Widney Career Preparatory and Transition Center.

The injured student has been taken to hospital and the suspect is in custody. LASPD said no other students or staff were involved or affected.

No further information is available as the investigation is ongoing.
