WARREN, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) – The city of warren and two of its police officers are facing a new $100 million lawsuit in connection with the fatal accident last month that left two men dead.

Fieger Law filed the lawsuit Tuesday in Macomb County Circuit Court on behalf of the family of 33-year-old DeJuan Pettis. It is alleged that on September 30, the police officers were not obeying traffic laws and were driving more than 100 miles per hour when they collided with a Dodge Durango occupied by Pettis and 34-year-old Cedric Hayden Jr. at the corner of Schoenherr Road .
