MINNEAPOLIS – The snow has cleared, but the Twin Cities will still experience dangerously cold wind chills during Thursday morning’s commute.
The forecast high is 19 degrees, but early in the day it will feel between -10 and -20 degrees.
Lighter winds are expected, but cold temperatures will remain high in the teens, with wind chills near or below zero.
A warming trend will begin Friday with highs in the 20s and rise to the upper 30s to mid 40s over the weekend under mostly clear skies.
A low-pressure system could bring light rain/snow showers late Sunday into Monday, especially in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin, but significant precipitation is unlikely.
Next week looks dry, with another cooldown mid-week as temperatures drop after the weekend system.
