Bell & Ross just rolled out a watch that paints a clear picture of the sky from a pilot’s perspective. In 2021, the company formed an official partnership with the Patrouille de France, the art demonstration team of the French Air Force. Now they have unveiled their fourth watch collaboration, BR-05 Chrono Patrouille de France.
And just like previous models, this new watch stands out for its unique shape and design. Although the brim has straight edges, it also has some curves that add to the look. There is a screw on each corner that complements the overall design, giving the front a cockpit-like aesthetic.
It is worth noting that the design of the dial is inspired by the pilots and aircraft of Patrouille de France. Everything about this watch, from the subdial layout to the subdial design, looks a lot like flight indicator dials.
The dial also has the same color as the pilot’s clothing: a sky blue shade. Subdials, on the other hand, are characterized by a deep blue color that accentuates the sky blue hue of the dial.
Bell & Ross placed the team’s logo on the watch to honor their efforts: it sits just above the 12 o’clock mark. Because the Patrouille de France logo has three primary colors, most elements are cleverly designed to subtly reflect the team’s colors.
While the front is quite stylish, the back also takes the design to a whole new level, thanks to the sapphire glass. This is a limited edition timepiece – Bell & Ross will release 500 pieces – and each piece will retail for $7,400.
