Boston police officer arrested in connection with alleged domestic disturbance on Christmas Day

A Boston police officer was arrested on Christmas Day after an alleged domestic disturbance at his home in Hull.

Terrence Murray was charged with one count of assault and battery on a family/household member, one count of improper storage of a firearm, one count of destruction of property and two counts of Class E drug possession.

Murray is a four-year veteran of the department assigned to District 3, according to a Boston Police spokesperson.

“The officer is currently in an administrative role and the Boston Police Bureau of Professional Standards is investigating the incident,” the spokesperson said.

Murray was arraigned Thursday in Hingham District Court, where he pleaded not guilty.

His bail was set at $500 with conditions and he will appear in court in February 2025.
