Caltrain $1 Youth Fare Starting Sunday, September 1

SAN FRANCISCO — The Caltrain All Zone One-way youth fare is available starting Sunday for $1 regardless of payment method.

According to a Friday press release, the Youth All Zone Day Passes are available through Caltrain Mobile and at Caltrain ticket machines.

“It’s easier than ever for young travelers to take advantage of Caltrain, and embrace freedom and flexibility instead of traffic and congestion,” said Caltrain Executive Director Michelle Bouchard. “Now, young people can easily travel up and down the peninsula for less than the price of a boba tea.”

The permanently reduced youth fares are the result of a vote at the Caltrain Board of Directors meeting in August.

Caltrain operates rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with commuter service to Gilroy.
