Winter storms that began hitting Michigan on Wednesday brought more snow to northern and western parts of the state and Upper Peninsula.
It is the third major snowstorm for the region in about two weeks.
This round of storms, which will last through Friday, was forecast to bring more than a foot of snow to some areas.
The predictions were correct. Elmira, Mancelona and Waters received more than a foot of snow.
Metro Detroit also saw some snow Thursday, but the highest reported accumulation was 4 inches in Eastpointe.
