Clouds will increase in the Philadelphia region late Friday as our next system approaches. It won’t be as windy on Friday, but there will still be a breeze and gusts of up to 40 km per hour, and temperatures will rise to about 5 degrees above freezing! Yes!
Looking ahead to the chance of snow on Saturday, it seems less and less likely that snow lovers will get a big snow shower from this! That said, we could at least get some light snow. The latest model trends keep most of the storm to our south, with intensification occurring too late for a major storm over our area.

What does that mean for us? Saturday morning will bring some light snow or snow showers, which can easily accumulate on cold ground. It currently looks like maybe a half inch of coating, with possibly a little more in spots to the south. It doesn’t seem like anything important. These trends can still change, and with the possibility of a storm nearby, your NEXT Weather team will keep a close eye on it and keep you prepared and protected.

Next week we’ll warm briefly into the 40s on Monday before heading back below freezing for a few days starting Tuesday.
