Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a shooting near Romare Bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte that occurred Saturday evening.
MEDIC has confirmed that one person has been taken to hospital, but we have no information on their condition at this time. The shooting happened just after 10 p.m
A Channel 9 photojournalist spotted crime scene investigators and CMPD officers around the park and French Quarter in Uptown Charlotte. There was traffic disruption in Kerkstraat.
It is unclear at this time whether a suspect is in custody.
CMPD has not yet released any information.
