NEW YORK — More than 245,000 pounds of frozen Banquet chicken strips have been recalled because they may contain bits of plastic.

Conagra Brands said the affected boxes read “Banquet Chicken Strips Meal.”

The recalled 8.9-oz. Boxes will have an expiration date of “December 11, 2024,” “January 1, 2025,” or “January 7, 2025,” and lot numbers 5009317120, 5009319220, or 5009319820 on the side of the box.

The boxes being recalled will have the location number “EST. P-9” printed on the side of the box. These items were shipped to stores nationwide and also sold online.

The United States Department of Agriculture’s Food and Safety Inspection Service said at least one person was reported injured.

Those who do have recalled boxes in their freezer should throw them away or return them to the store where they were purchased.
