Construction worker killed in collision on Kennedy Expressway

CHICAGO (CBS)-Illinois State police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a construction worker on the Kennedy Expressway.

Around 9:30 p.m., police said the driver struck construction equipment and a worker on Kinzie Street before leaving the scene.

The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Francisco Javierpadilla-Gutierrez.

Police did not provide a description of the vehicle.
