Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department authorities are investigating a deputy sheriff involved in the shooting that occurred Monday in East Los Angeles.
According to a press release from the LA Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to reports of someone with a gun near 4th Street and Atlantic Boulevard around 1:17 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found that an armed robbery had taken place and that the suspect also allegedly assaulted a victim with a deadly weapon.
They found an armed male suspect who revealed a firearm and a shooting took place involving the deputy sheriff.
The suspect was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
This investigation is ongoing.
