Aug. 10 – This report reflects public misdemeanor filings from the Pittsburg County District Court that were filed at the Pittsburg County Courthouse between the dates listed. The reader should keep in mind that these are indictments and not evidence of guilt. Cases with active arrest warrants issued by the court are included in this report. The disposition of the indictments will be published in later reports. Many names are similar and in some cases identical to a person not charged. When names are identical, the News-Capital will publish a disclaimer more fully identifying the person charged.

REPORTS OF CRIMINAL OFFENCES:

John Andrew Smith, 34, McAlester — Possession of stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia

Garland Leon Seay, 37, McAlester — First-degree burglary

Joshua A. Eldridge, 25, Eufaula — Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle

Matthew Gordan O’Brien, 37, McAlester — Driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked/suspended/revoked license

James William Hardin, 28, Hartshorne — Endangering others by eluding, altering/removing VIN, driving on a revoked/suspended/cancelled license, knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property

Newton Grammer, 80, McAlester — Child prostitution, indecent exposure

Jarred B. Pointer, age unknown, Oklahoma Department of Corrections — Possession of contraband by an inmate

OFFENSIVE ORDERS:

Preston Chase Bush, 36, Duncanville, Texas — was sentenced to two concurrent 12-year terms in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for possession of a stolen vehicle and escape from the county jail, credit for time already served.

Bruce Glenn Hill, 58, of McAlester, was given a three-year suspended sentence for introducing contraband into a prison/correctional facility.

Charges against Roberto Pimentel, 44, of McAlester, on an immigration hold and at the request of the victim, were dropped.

First-degree burglary was dismissed against Michael Wayne McKibben, 26, of Quinton, because the state of Oklahoma has no criminal jurisdiction in the case.

The charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol was dismissed against Matthew Wade James, 42, of McAlester, because the state of Oklahoma has no criminal jurisdiction in the case.
