A Dayton man will face several criminal charges after he was charged with threatening to blackmail a teen and later sexually assaulting her, prosecutors said.
Kendall De’Sean Jones, 21, was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on Monday for two counts of rape of a victim under age 13, four counts of extortion and one count of gross sexual entanglement of a victim under age 13. , one admission to sexually suggestive material or performance and one unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
An investigation by the Dayton Police Department found that the Jones had threatened to share nude photos of the victim, now 15, on social media if she did not engage in sexual acts with the defendant, according to the Montgomery County prosecutor’s office.
>> ‘Very unusual;’ The deadly shooting at Piqua Park was an isolated incident, police say
The behavior started in 2019 when the minor was 12 years old and lasted until 2020.
“This case is an example of why children, or anyone for that matter, should never post, share or send compromising photos of themselves on the internet. The suspect forced a minor child to have sex with him or he would post nude photos of her online. Fortunately, the victim has reported the defendant’s actions and will no longer be able to sexually assault her or anyone else,” said Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck, Jr.
Jones is currently serving time in the Montgomery County Jail on $100,000 bond.
He will be brought before him on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 8:30 a.m
