Devils advance in AHL

This past offseason, the New Jersey Devils acquired forward Adam Beckman from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forward Graeme Clarke.

This may have been a small summer move for the Devils, but Beckman is proving to be an impactful addition to the Utica Comets roster. In 15 games this season with the AHL team, he has four goals and 14 points.

Beckman shows no signs of slowing down either. In his last seven games, the 6-foot-1 forward has scored two goals and eight points.

During this past season with the Wild’s AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild, Beckman had 19 goals, 14 assists and 33 points in 51 games. So at this point in the campaign, the 2019 third-round pick has a higher return in terms of assists and points.

It will be interesting to see how well Beckman builds on his hot start to the season from here. If he continues to play this well, this could perhaps open the door for him to be called up to the Devils’ roster soon. He last played at the NHL level in 2023-2024, where he had two assists in 11 games with the Wild.
