DOVER – The city’s checklist supervisors will host a voter registration event in the City Hall auditorium, 288 Central Ave., on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Supervisors register new voters, record address changes and make corrections to the voter checklist.
Residents can also register with the city clerk at City Hall during regular hours, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The last date to register before November 5 The elections are on Monday October 28. After that date, all voter registration will take place on Election Day at the resident’s designated polling place. The city’s online interactive precinct map helps voters determine the voter’s precinct and indicates the voting location. Voters who have moved from one precinct to another in Dover will also need to update their voter registration.
In New Hampshire, there is no time requirement to live in the state before you can register. Residents can register to vote when they move to Dover or between city neighborhoods. Eligible voters must be at least 18 years old on Election Day, be a U.S. citizen, and reside in the Dover area where they wish to vote. Registering to vote requires proof of identity, age, citizenship and residence. This proof may include submitting documents or signing an affidavit under oath before an election official. Documents proving identity, age, citizenship, and residence include a driver’s license or ID from another state that provides proof of identity and age, a birth certificate, a U.S. passport/passport, or a naturalization document that satisfies proof of citizenship.

Election officials needed in all Dover precincts
Dover is looking for election officials to assist at polling stations in the general election on Tuesday, November 5. Election officials are needed in all six of the city’s political divisions.
Election officials are paid positions that work under the direction of the precinct moderator who oversees the election process. Duties include assisting voters, maintaining order, opening and closing polling stations and processing vote counts. The precinct moderator will provide necessary training for election officials who must be at least 18 years of age and reside in Dover.
