December 14 – Winter weather warnings remain in effect for Albert Lea and the surrounding area as a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow is expected to lead to slippery roads today.
According to the National Weather Service, light precipitation moved through Minnesota overnight, initially as a mix of sleet and snow, then changing to freezing drizzle.
Mixed precipitation is expected to continue throughout the day today.
Conditions may lead to slippery roads. People are advised to slow down and exercise caution while traveling.
The Weather Service stated that the amount of icing is expected to be less than one-tenth of an inch, and no impacts to power lines and trees are expected.
