Durham Police are seeking the public’s help

DURHAM – Durham police are seeking help in locating Alexis Garcia, 24, a student at the University of New Hampshire who was last seen by friends on Nov. 21.

His vehicle, a black 2021 Mercedes, was located at the Scammell Bridge rest area along Route 4 in Durham. Durham Police determined the vehicle was parked there and unoccupied from Saturday, November 23 until the morning of Tuesday, November 26, when it was secured by police.

On Tuesday, November 15, Durham police said they were asked to conduct a welfare check on Garcia.

Alexis Garcia in August 2024. He was last seen by friends on November 21.

Garcia is described as a man, 6 feet tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. His last known clothing description is unknown. He is originally from Illinois. He has ties to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force ROTC.

Durham police do not believe foul play is involved in Garcia’s disappearance. If anyone has any information regarding this investigation or believes they have seen Garcia, please contact Durham Police at detective@ci.durham.nh.us.
