All eastbound lanes of I-595 west of University Drive are closed due to a collision between a tanker truck and a semi-truck that occurred at 9 a.m.
According to Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Indiana Miranda, the accident has caused a lot of chaos and major cleanup efforts are currently underway.
Eastbound traffic is being diverted via Pine Island Road, with assistance from the Davie Police Department.
The lanes remain open and are not affected by the incident.
