Firefighters rescued a San Francisco resident from a burning apartment in the South of Market neighborhood early Monday morning, fire officials said.
At around 4:45 a.m., the San Francisco Fire Department posted on social media that firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the 1000 block of Folsom Street and rescued a resident from a window in a nearby building.
According to the fire brigade, the fire was contained to one room thanks to a sprinkler system and was unable to spread.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
