Vorlicky, a native of Edina, Minn., played parts of four seasons for the Badgers, where he collected four goals and 17 assists for 21 points in 125 career games. Vorlicky had five points in 37 games last season.
Before playing in the NCAA, Vorlicky played for Edina High (USHS) and part of a season with the USHL’s Madison Capitols.
Now that Vorlicky is making the transition to the pros, he’ll join a Steelheads team that finished third in the Western Conference in 2023-24. What role he’ll play with the team remains to be seen. Vorlicky brings value on and off the ice, which should help him make the transition.
