Four arrested for killing ATM worker in Kings Mountain, police say
Kings Mountain police announced a breakthrough in the case of a deadly robbery that occurred at an ATM last month.
Four suspects have been arrested, authorities said. They are all charged with murder and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Police identified the suspects as 38-year-old Dominick Anthony Singleton of Norwood, 29-year-old Jamal Delkeis Cunningham of New London, 28-year-old Malek Isaiah Thomas of Charlotte, and 20-year-old Damareon Laron Dockery of West End.

The victim was 29-year-old Richard Walter Henderson of Charlotte. Police said he was shot on Oct. 30 while working at an ATM on E. Kings Street.

Police were searching for suspects after using surveillance footage to pin down a black SUV at the crime scene. It turned out that the car was a rental car.
Channel 9’s Ken Lemon heard from police that a woman used a service to rent out her car to make some extra money. She got it back and had no idea the people who rented it were using it to track the ATM technician.
It was the slightest stain on the rented SUV that unraveled the murder case.
Someone saw the SUV in Charlotte two days after Henderson was shot. The FBI then used phone records to track the suspects’ steps before and after the shooting, Kings Mountain police said.
Police Chief Gerald Childress said he called Henderson’s mother immediately after the arrests.
“I wanted to try to get this done so I could give her some good news before Thanksgiving,” Childress said.
The FBI is trying to determine if these four men are connected to similar cash robberies in the region.
