Former President Donald Trump panicked about Kamala Harris during a chaotic phone interview on Fox News. The interview ended awkwardly on Thursday night, the final night of the Democratic National Convention.
“She’s going to raise taxes four to five times what people and businesses are paying now,” Trump said of the vice president, as he was interrupted by dial tones apparently caused by someone pressing buttons on his phone.
The Republican candidate posted a message via Harris’ presidential acceptance speech, asking if the Democratic candidate was “talking ABOUT” him.
He then went to the conservative network, where he denied Harris’ poll numbers.
“There’s tremendous traction and momentum with women voters, and she’s trying to pull the youth vote, the Hispanic vote, the black vote back in her direction,” said Fox News’ Martha MacCallum. “So what are you going to do? What’s your strategy to rebuild the momentum that you had with those voters?”
“No, she’s not successful. I’m successful,” Trump declared, touting his support among women and black and Hispanic people.
Host Bret Baier tried to break in as time expired for Greg Gutfeld’s show, but Trump continued, ranting about Democrats throwing President Joe Biden “out of the party.”
“And that’s why we saw a different night tonight,” MacCallum said as he tried to bundle up.
“They did the same thing they did to RFK,” Trump said.
“Mr. President, thank you very much,” Baier added.
“Okay, thank you very much,” Trump said as the call came to a quick end, before the hosts tossed the ball to Gutfeld.
Gutfeld referred to the quick conclusion of the interview at the beginning of his program.
“That wasn’t my fault, Donald Trump,” he said.
This might be the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
