The woman said her domestic partner, identified as Jeffery Scott McCullough, 36, was the attacker.

Officers learned he had run away before they could arrive.

Officers removed the woman and her children from the home and began looking for the suspect.

The next day they found him hiding in a friend’s house.

McCullough was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and third-degree cruelty to children.

McCullough’s friend, Joshua O. Grizzle, 36, was also arrested for aiding McCullough.

Both men were booked into the Gordon County Jail.
