Regional gas prices fell for the second straight week, hitting an average of $3.41 per gallon of regular fuel on Monday, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. That’s down from last week’s price of $3.45 per gallon.
The average price of fuel in the Central Atlantic region has fallen about 12 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices in the region over the past year have been as low as $3.18 on Jan. 15, 2024, and as high as $3.85 on Aug. 7, 2023.
A year ago, the average gas price in the Central Atlantic region was 11% higher, at $3.81 per gallon.

The average price of gas in the United States was $3.31 last week, making prices in the Central Atlantic region about 2.8 percent higher than the national average. The average national gas price is down from last week’s average of $3.38 per gallon.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration has been tracking prices in the Central Atlantic states, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
