German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE announced Monday that it has received orders for 36 turbines for projects in Canada.
The names of the customers and wind farms have not been disclosed.
The Nordex Group will deliver the Delta4000 series turbines in spring 2026, which will be used in wind farms in Nova Scotia in eastern Canada.
According to the orders received at the end of December, each turbine will have a nominal capacity of 7 MW and will be installed on steel towers 118 meters high.
Some turbines will have an advanced anti-icing system to prevent ice formation on the rotor blades during the region’s harsh winters.
Manav Sharma, the head of Nordex’s North American division, said the group has now surpassed 1 GW of North American revenue in 2024, marking a 350% increase from the previous year.
