CHICAGO (CBS) –A 13-year-old girl was shot and injured Thursday night in South Shore.
At 7:30 p.m., the girl was standing on the sidewalk in the 2700 block of East 79th Street, near Marquette Avenue, when shots were fired.
The girl was hit in the inside of her left thigh and the top of her right thigh and was taken to the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
As of late Thursday night, no one had been arrested. Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
