GREEN BAY — Green Bay is starting the new year with some of winter’s newest sunrises.
The sun rose at 7:27 a.m. on Thursday, and on Friday the sun will rise at 7:28 a.m. in Green Bay — marking the last sunrise the city has seen since Jan. 8, according to timeanddate.com. Including New Year’s Eve, it looks like the first week of 2025 will see a series of similar late sunrises.
After that, the sun will rise earlier because the days are getting longer in Green Bay. Since December 21, the shortest day of the year, the city has gradually regained daylight.
