Two men were arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly breaking into a Kohl’s store in Ohio and stealing more than $2,000 worth of merchandise.

Police from the Springfield Township Police Department near Akron were called to Kohl’s in the middle of the night for a commercial alarm activation.

The alarm monitoring company saw two people enter and exit the front doors of the store. When officers arrived on scene, the alarm company said the duo had re-entered the store, police said in a social media post.
The two suspects tried to run away through an exit at the back of the store, but were both eventually captured.
“Happy Thanksgiving, burglars. You deserve a free ride to jail!” the department writes on social media.
The men, identified as 21-year-old Anthony Williams, Jr. and 20-year-old Ryan Thomas, were in possession of various clothing and perfume items worth more than $2,100.
Police later discovered that the men entered the store by forcing open the doors with a crowbar.
The duo was taken into custody and charged with burglary, theft, possession of criminal tools and obstructing official business.
