Hit-and-run driver wanted after crash kills pedestrian in Canoga Park

Investigators are looking for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in Canoga Park this week, police said Saturday.

The victim was crossing west on De Soto Avenue, just north of Gresham Street, around 5:15 p.m. Friday when he was struck by a gray or silver car traveling south on De Soto, Los Angeles police said. Paramedics pronounced the man, a Canoga Park resident in his 40s, dead at the scene.

His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The police are calling on witnesses and people with information to come forward. LAPD has said there was heavy traffic in the area of ​​De Soto and Gresham at the time of the crash.
