After a day off on Sunday, the American League Division Series resumes today with an afternoon game between the Cleveland Guardians and the Detroit Tigers. The Guardians took the lead in the series after their impressive 7-0 victory on Saturday, in which Lane Thomas hit a three-run home run and the Guardians’ pitchers allowed just four hits to the Tigers throughout the game. After the best-of-five ALDS, the league’s two winning teams will advance to the American League Championship Series, which kicks off on October 13.
