MINNEAPOLIS— The Minnesota Vikings hope so put a stop to a two-game losing streak when they take on the Indianapolis Colts at home on Sunday night.

After a 5-0 start, the Vikings’ defense was shredded by back-to-back losses at the hands of the Detroit Lions And Los Angeles Rams. A matchup against the 4-4 Colts could be just what the doctor ordered. Their offense ranks in the bottom half of the league in both points scored and yards gained.
The wild card is veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, who takes over the Colts’ offense after the starter Anthony Richardson was on the bench. Flacco has started two games and played most of a third for the Colts this season. In that time, he has thrown seven touchdowns and just one interception. If he stabilizes the offense, the Vikings defense could face a tougher test than expected.
When the Vikings have the ball in their hands, their offense will look a little different than it did earlier this year. Star tight end TJ Hockenson will return from injury and hopefully give QB Sam Darnold a security blanket. A new left tackle can also take the field with a starter Christian Darrisaw is out for the season And Cam Robinson added a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
