Hyatt Hotels has expanded its portfolio in Mainz, Germany, with the opening of Brunfels Hotel, its third property in the city.
The hotel joins Hyatt’s The Unbound Collection brand, expanding the company’s portfolio into Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Katie Johnson, global brand leader and vice president of the Hyatt Independent Collection brand, said, “Expanding The Unbound Collection by Hyatt with a second opening in Germany underscores our commitment to delivering storytelling experiences within our unique Independent Collection portfolio.”
Designed to blend 21st century aesthetics with retro-chic accents, the five-story hotel features 127 rooms and integrates technology with amenities such as air-source heat pumps for climate control and digital check-in services.
The hotel also collaborates with regional producers, including the Kuehn Kunz Rosen craft brewery, the Edelranz Gin Distillery and the Müller Distillery.
Holger Hanselmann, Managing Director of Brunfels Hotel, said: “Brunfels Hotel is a great addition to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, combining Mainz’s beautiful heritage with a touch of modern glamour.
“The property offers views of the cathedral, yet is set back from the main streets of the old town, making it the ideal place to stay for travellers looking to soak up the local atmosphere in a revitalising retreat.”
The opening of Brunfels Hotel follows closely on the heels of Hyatt’s recent expansion into France with the introduction of Hyatt Place Rouen.
As of June 30, 2024, the company’s portfolio included more than 1,350 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 78 countries on six continents.
“Hyatt Hotels Opens Third Location in Mainz, Germany” was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData brand.
