Investigation underway in East Los Angeles after man fatally shot

Authorities say an investigation is underway in East Los Angeles, where a man was fatally shot over the weekend.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting happened after midnight Sunday in the 500 block of N. Rowan Avenue.

According to police, a witness heard multiple shots and then found the victim. That person also saw two people running from the scene.

The man, whose identity has not been released, died at the scene.
