Jackie Robinson Day is considered one of the most special days on the Major League Baseball calendar each year as teams and players honor the pioneer who broke the color barrier in baseball and led the way for many athletes in professional sports.

In this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss the importance of remembering Jackie’s entire legacy and why it can be a bit complicated for the league. Jake shares his experience as a little league coach on how leagues and communities can continue to foster growth within the game at a grassroots level for all children from different cultures.

The boys then head into the weekend of baseball including taking down the very poor Chicago White Sox getting wiped out by the Cincinnati Reds, Nestor Cortes pulls off some extremely unique pitching excitement for the New York Yankees and Ronel Blanco once again trades for the Houston Astros .
