Man dies after being stabbed multiple times in north Fort Collins

Fort Collins police are investigating a homicide after a man was found Friday night with multiple stab wounds and later died in a hospital.

The suspect remains at large.

Police were called to 318 N. College Ave., a Loaf N Jug gas station and convenience store in northern Fort Collins, due to a report of a “possible stabbing” at around 10:09 p.m., according to a press release made public at 2 a.m. Saturday. An adult male with multiple stab wounds was found on College and Willow Street and taken to a hospital, where he later died.

A suspect is described as a dark-skinned man in his 40s or 50s with a “grubby beard”, who wears jeans, a dark colored shirt and a black hat. It was reported that he was riding east on Willow on a dark-colored bicycle.

“Our detectives and forensics will work all night and endlessly until we can apprehend this suspect,” said Sgt. Randy Klamser, who oversees the Crimes Against Persons Unit of the Fort Collins Police Department.
